On Gamer’s Eve

On this Gamers Eve, I was flipping through some old photos and realized I never shared some from one of our cooler sessions a couple years ago. Pretty rare for any of us to take photos of ourselves around the table but this particular weekend was a special one!

My two uncles, who played together during the inception of Dungeons & Dragons, who haven’t been at the game table as players, playing beside one another in YEARS finally joined up back in 2019!!! My cousin also dropped in with his dad and they played a cameo part during this session as a pair of adventures that we freed from a dungeon. We faced off against some adult dragons and faced off against some trolls and a large company of orcs.

The take away from this weekend is that D&D transcends time in a weird and magical way. No matter the edition, the people and memories shared make this game the best damn game I’ve ever played!
